The High-Definition-Projection at the 4th International Mediafestival 2007 in Villingen-Schwenningen set standards in the german festival culture. With a 18 x 5 meter big screen and a physically solution of 3640 x 1050 pixel, visual effects of a special kind were shown. The audience honoured this development – a production made as High-Definition-Audio-Vision (HDAV) by Klaus Stange was decorated with the audienceprice. With the perfect scope for design with HD-video and HDAV one can not avert one´s gaze from the screen. The fascination of the big pictures, some in panorama format, is unbreakable – you can nearly think this enthusiasm gets stronger and stronger.

Also the 5th International Mediafestial moves with the change of time. The festivalmotto is new focused and gets the addition “stories in HD”. At the 5th International Mediafestival there will be shown, in particular, High-Definition-productions from the categories film and audio-vision. This productions can be handed in as classical one field or as panorama-production.

The concept of the festival stays the same in basic. The producers hand in their productions for the competition, in three categories (amateur, profi and education).The handed in productions should, like the festivalmotto says “tell a story”.
